Hello! I am a cellist and principal cello for the San Diego Civic Youth Orchestra (CYO). This coming June, we have the exciting opportunity to perform together at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Carnegie Hall is the epitome of musical excellence and the aspirational performance destination for the world's finest orchestras and musicians. It will be life-changing for me to perform with my orchestra on the same legendary and iconic stage, the Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, as the musical greats.
Being a part of CYO is very meaningful to me because I belong to a community of like-minded musicians and friends who share a common purpose of making beautiful music. We listen to each other and help elevate each other's playing. We've tackled some of the most amazing and challenging music together. CYO is one of four orchestras in the nation selected to perform at Carnegie Hall and reflects the culmination of all of our hard work. This is why going to Carnegie Hall together as a team is very important to me.
I hope you can support me and my orchestra get to Carnegie Hall by making a tax-deductible donation to our fundraiser here. I have pledged to raise $2,500 towards our $125,000 goal to make this trip possible for the entire orchestra. Your generosity will make a huge difference for me! Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
