CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY UNITED TEAM
$5,000 for our $50,000 goal honoring the NYC Marathon's 50th year
Run with Purpose. Run with Community
Run with Purpose
This November, I’ll be running the New York City Marathon with the Cancer Support Community.
I lost my mom to metastatic breast cancer a little over three years ago, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her. She’s my source of inspiration, and the reason I’ve continued to pursue challenges that raise awareness and support others. Running the New York City Marathon with the Cancer Support Community felt like a natural next step.
What’s always stayed with me is how she approached her fight. Despite everything she was going through, she showed up each day feeling grateful, loved, and never alone. She felt the support of the people around her, and that gave her strength and a reason to keep going. That same support carried our entire family through a really difficult time.
Why This Matters to Me
That experience is why this cause means so much to me.
Cancer Support Community exists to make sure no one has to face cancer alone. I saw firsthand how powerful that support is, not just for the person going through it, but for everyone around them.
I want others to feel what my mom felt. Supported. Connected. Not alone.
Why I'm Running
Since her diagnosis, and especially since her passing, I’ve tried to carry that forward in a meaningful way.
Through endurance challenges, races, and community efforts, the goal has remained the same: honor her and support others impacted by cancer.
Running the NYC Marathon is a chance to do just that.
