Beaumont Botanical Gardens Photography Policy

Beaumont Botanical Gardens is happy to welcome photographers and their clients to enjoy our gardens as a beautiful backdrop for portraits, engagements, family photos, senior pictures, maternity sessions and other personal photography.

We do not charge a photography fee or require a photography permit. However, we kindly ask photographers and their clients to consider making a $25 donation to Beaumont Botanical Gardens to help us maintain and care for the gardens. Photographers conducting mini-sessions or using the Gardens for longer than one hour are kindly asked to consider making a larger donation in recognition of the extended use of the Gardens.

Garden Access & Hours

The Warren Loose Conservatory is open Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–4:00 p.m.

The Conservatory often stays open through the lunch hour of 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m., but it is not guaranteed.

The outdoor gardens are generally accessible seven days a week from dawn until dusk through the pedestrian gate located to the right of the Conservatory building.

October is the only exception. During October, our garden gates are locked outside of regular business hours and scheduled event rental hours. Therefore, outdoor garden access is not guaranteed outside of business hours during October. Photographers planning October sessions are encouraged to schedule their sessions during regular business hours.

To help protect our gardens and ensure an enjoyable experience for all visitors, please observe the following guidelines:

Garden Etiquette

  • Stay on designated paths and lawn areas. Photographers, clients, assistants and equipment must remain out of flower beds, planted areas and landscaped areas.
  • Please do not step, sit, stand or place equipment in flower beds or plantings. Our gardens are living collections that require care and protection.
  • Please do not pick, cut, move or otherwise disturb flowers, plants, trees, containers, signs or garden features.
  • Keep pathways, entrances and walkways clear for other visitors.
  • Please be respectful of other Garden visitors and allow them to pass through photography areas.
  • Large props, furniture, confetti, glitter, flower petals, smoke effects and similar materials are not permitted.
  • Drones are not permitted.
  • Please leave the Garden as you found it and take all personal belongings, props and equipment with you when you leave.

Dress Code

Beaumont Botanical Gardens is a family-friendly public garden. All photography subjects are expected to wear appropriate clothing while on Garden property. Clothing that is excessively revealing, transparent, or contains offensive or inappropriate language or imagery is not permitted.

Garden Center & Events

The Garden Center and the lawn immediately behind the Garden Center may not be used for photography when an event is taking place in the Garden Center. Please respect private events, their guests and the event setup by choosing another area of the Gardens during these times.

Photography must never interfere with a scheduled event, rental, program or other Garden activity.

A Note to Photographers

We want you and your clients to have a wonderful experience at Beaumont Botanical Gardens while helping us protect the beauty of the Gardens for everyone to enjoy. Please use good judgment, be considerate of other visitors, and remember that plants are for admiring—not standing in!

Beaumont Botanical Gardens reserves the right to ask photographers or clients to discontinue a photography session or leave the property if these guidelines are not followed or if the session interferes with Garden operations or other visitors.
