ABOUT PARTICIPANT | Ava Clark
Ava is an energetic and goal-driven 8-year-old who shines both inside and outside the classroom. Currently a 3rd grader at Cordova Elementary, she proudly maintains a spot on the Principal’s List and is known for her positive attitude and love of learning.
An all-around athlete, she enjoys basketball, soccer, and track—and her dedication recently earned her a coveted spot at the USATF National Junior Olympics Championship. Off the field, Ava channels that same focus into piano lesson, always eager to learn and grow.
Ava also has a deep curiosity about the world. She loves traveling with her mom and sister learning about different cultures, collecting unforgettable memories, and gaining new perspectives through her experiences. At home, she enjoys cuddles with her golden doodle, Nova.
With dreams of becoming a lawyer, Ava is passionate about standing up for others and making a meaningful impact in her community and beyond. She’s honored to be part of the Jewel Court fundraising pageant where she hopes to represent the values of leadership, kindness, and service.

The Jewel Court Program is a signature initiative of the Memphis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., designed to support the personal and intellectual growth of young girls ages 5–12. The program features five core components, each strategically developed to address contemporary youth challenges while providing practical tools and life skills. Through engaging workshops and activities, participants explore:
- Cultural Awareness
- Self-Esteem Development
- Friendship and Character Building
- Effective Communication Skills
In addition to their developmental experiences, participants take part in a fundraising initiative to support the Maggie McDowell Scholarship Fund.
The Jewel Court Program not only cultivates leadership, confidence, and social awareness, but also creates a memorable and enriching experience for each participant.
Over the years, Delta Fine Arts and the Memphis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., through its youth enrichment programs, have raised over $500,000.00 for scholarships.
