About Art.coop

Creatives are building the solidarity economy now.

As a collective of artists and culture bearers, we are part of the movement to remember future Art Worlds with community control at the core. We work for a future in which artists closest to the pain of economic exploitation know their power and use it to transform the system, and resource a community of artists committed to building the art worlds we want.

At Art.coop, we believe another economy is not just possible—it already exists. We support QTBIPOC artists, culture-bearers, and creative innovators in building cooperative, community-led cultural economies where power, wealth, and creative freedom are shared.

Through fellowships, projects, learning spaces, and field-wide convenings, we connect artists with one another, amplify their stories, and resource experiments that reimagine how culture and economy can thrive together. From worker-owned media collectives to land-based arts hubs and artisan cooperatives, Art.Coop lifts up practical, artist-led solutions that center solidarity, self-determination, and generational impact.

Guided by principles of the Solidarity Economy, we help artists and funders alike move beyond business-as-usual. We show what’s possible when artists co-create systems that value their labor, creativity, and community. By supporting Art.coop, you’re helping us build infrastructure, share knowledge, and sustain work that transforms the cultural economy from the ground up.

Join us in shaping a future where art and cooperation are at the heart of economic and cultural transformation!
