Animals Staying Alive, Inc. is a federally approved 501(c)3 charity that provides financial support for the emergency veterinary treatment of animals without sufficient financial needs. To date, our charity has saved the lives of over 50 animals nationwide in an amount greater than $75,000. Now we need your help to save Koda. Here's the redacted request we recently received yet we have no funds to offer:
"Good Evening,
I was referred by my friend, ******** because my 9-year old, white maltese got admitted to the vet for multiple seizures.. it started with him tumbling to the side because his hind legs would give out. At 4 am, he started seizing and that lasted 10 seconds. He had another one at 6 am where it lasted about one minute. They found that his glucose levels were really low and after doing an ultrasound, they found that he also has a mass in his liver-- that it was cancer. Because of his low glucose levels, they suspect he almost
might have pancreatitis.. He is still in the hospital requiring to be monitored for 48 hours to stabilize him and provide meds and treatment. Since admission, he's had two more seizures.. I have an estimate of what <veterinarian hospital> sent to me. i put my credit card down for a deposit, but I do not have the monetary means to cover all of the expenses, especially if surgery is required for the next step.. I am asking for help please.
Attached are estimates of the bill and the receipt for the deposit. Also attached is a picture of him. Thank you for your time.
