Amina is one of the happiest six-year-olds we know and she creates joy around her. Amina has autism and when it was time for her to begin a center-based program, her family knew it had to be Easterseals. Since she began attending the early intervention program in Philadelphia, she has become more confident, independent, and social. She loves everything about school from getting on the bus to being in her classroom with her friends. She has perfected the balance of happily yet assertively sharing her needs and has mastered the art of setting boundaries for herself. It’s also important to note, Amina is smart! She speaks Japanese and Spanish and has her own office space at home. One of her favorite things to do is sync up all her devices and play them at the same time. When she’s not in the office, Amina finds joy in nature walks and toy shopping, because life is about balance. She is also a true fashionista who loves to dance and watch Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol. Her family, which includes five adult siblings, centers around her and her success. Her mom sees Easterseals as an extension of family and that creates a powerful sense of safety. According to her mom, Easterseals is the foundation for Amina’s success in life by giving her the tools she needs. We can’t wait to see how she uses those tools to create unlimited future success.
