Daniel is a funny, loving, and happy five-year-old. And even though he is non-verbal, he is quite outspoken! Daniel has autism and he attended the Friendship Academy, Easterseals inclusive preschool. He is smart, and his mom knew this program could meet his needs academically while helping him to become more social. And moms know best! Daniel had often found himself outside of the circle socially. But within a month, he became more engaged and his personality began to shine. And then he was quite literally, at the center of it all as the leader of the circle!  His mom credits this to the team at Easterseals who made sure he felt included and a part of everything while supporting his needs. Daniel is a genius at finding ways to communicate, whether it’s with a communication device, or a simple gesture and his unique sense of humor always shines through. Daniel also loves to move! The gross motor room at school is a favorite and playgrounds are his passion! When he’s not in school, he goes to two or three playgrounds a day. He’s also loving the “Don’t Let a Pigeon” book series, which he watches on YouTube.  Daniel’s drive to learn and do more is limitless…and so are his possibilities.
