The Alliance for Felix Cove is an Indigenous women-led movement to rematriate, protect and restore the ancestral homelands of the Támal-ko/Coast Miwok Felix Family at Tamal-liwa (Tomales Bay).
Your gift is a partnership with our work to call out national parks as sacred land, uplift Indigenous stories and relationship to land, and ensure that future generations can know Felix Cove as “home”.
Everyone has a role to play as we navigate challenges due to recent and ongoing federal actions impacting Native-led nonprofits. Rematriation of Ancestral Knowledge
Your gift powers Indigenous-led programs that allow Indigenous people to begin to connect to the land and waters through the rematriation of ancestral knowledge and skills such a Indigenous food ways, Native women's song, using plants pigments for visual arts, and building tule canoes.
Rebuilding Our Cultural Pathways
You help us share the true story of Támal-ko history, resilience, and ecological stewardship. Through exhibitions, media, and storytelling, we are reversing centuries of erasure and amplifying Indigenous voices.
WHY IT MATTERS
For at least 15,000 years, the Támal-ko people lived and thrived along the shores of Tamal-liwa. Colonial displacement nearly erased that presence — but today, descendants are reclaiming their home and their history.
