Help Bell's academic teams remain competitive. These funds support the Science Olympiad, First Lego League robotics, Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee, math, and Minecraft teams at Bell. The funds raised are used for registration fees for competitions, purchasing necessary equipment or materials for projects, attending workshops, team t-shirts, and enhancing the overall learning experience for participants. The Science Olympiad team typically participates in multiple competitions through the 7-month season and have advanced to the state level every year. The robotics teams looks forward to First Lego League's new Future Edition competition with new Lego robot kits. The math team regularly competes in local, state, national, and international math competitions in their 7-month season. The Bell Minecraft teams have been a fixture in the CPS e-Sports league since its inception five years ago. Many Minecraft teams have advanced to the city finals. The Battle of the Books provides an opportunity for avid readers in 4th-8th grades to join one of two teams of readers, read great books, and compete with children across the city for a city championship. In last year's competition, Bell's 4th-6th grade team came in 2nd place in the city competition.
