Join us on Friday June 20th for World Refugee Day, as we come together to honor the strength, resilience, and stories of those who have been forcibly displaced.
At 4:00pm, the event begins with a special screening of Zaatari: A Syrian Refugee Story, discussion, and community prayer as we step into the shoes of refugees whom VOR is honored to serve. At 6:00-8:00pm, enjoy a vibrant cultural celebration with music, food, and traditions presented by refugee families from the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia.
World Refugee Day is a tribute reminding us that humanity is not defined by geography. It calls on us to look past surface divisions, recognize our shared dignity, and build communities rooted in compassion, togetherness, and the universal right to belong. Guests will also learn how they can support VOR’s mission and help us raise $150,000 by year’s end to continue offering life-changing services.
At VOR, we believe the Church is uniquely positioned to respond with compassion and dignity. We are called to bring the HOPE of our Lord Jesus Christ to the nations. Through English classes, food and furniture, career coaching, youth mentorship, and ongoing outreach, we serve over 500 families each year with the help of volunteers, churches, and generous partners.
To be able to continue this mission—and grow it—we’re praying and working to raise $150,000 by the end of this year. This will allow us to meet urgent needs, deepen relationships, and continue sharing the love of Jesus through both word and deed. Feel free to donate using the links below.
Let’s TOGETHER bring HOPE to our global neighbors!
