An all-female wakesurf experience for every level — beginner to advanced.
Whether you want to learn to surf for the first time or simply spend the day riding with an incredible community of women, SURF Jam is designed to encourage, empower, and celebrate every participant.

PADDLE Jam + Weekend After Party
Sunday, September 20 | 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
A non-competitive paddle experience on beautiful Lake Austin for all skill levels.
Paddle 1 mile or 10 miles — or simply float, connect, and enjoy time on the water with an encouraging community beside you.
Choose your own experience:
- Paddleboard or kayak
- Beginner-friendly supported groups
- Distance paddle options
- Social paddle - no pressure
- One-way or round-trip routes
PADDLE Jam Highlights
On-the-Water Support
No previous paddle experience is necessary. Paddle Ambassadors will be on the water throughout the event to assist, encourage, coach, and support participants.
Paddle Out + Flower Toss
Each participant receives a flower to release during the paddle in honor, remembrance, reflection, healing, or gratitude.
Paddle Any Distance
Stay near the launch area, paddle to a marker, go to Jessica Hollis Park, or complete the full distance challenge — this event is designed for every comfort level.
11-Mile Distance Paddle
Participants looking for a challenge can paddle the full round-trip distance to Jessica Hollis Park with support boats and watercraft available throughout the course.
Mimosa Barge
Celebrate your paddle and raise a glass at mile marker 2
Poker Run + Water Stops
Fun stops along the course with snacks, hydration, community support, and poker run prizes.

In true Get Out Girl fashion, each Surf and Paddle Participant receives a Get Out Girl bracelet compliments of Jen's Gems!
Weekend After Party & Auction
Celebrate the weekend with music, food, amazing raffle prizes, auction items, sponsor activations, and community.

Honoring Kristin McLain & Jessica Hollis
Get Out Girl Surf & Paddle Jam is held annually in honor and memory of two incredible Travis County first responders: Kristin McLain and Jessica Hollis.
Both women deeply loved the water and personally understood the importance of stepping away from stress, reconnecting with themselves and community, and finding healing through nature and water.
Their legacy lives on through every woman encouraged on a surfboard, every paddle launched at sunrise, every conversation shared dockside, and every participant reminded that she is not alone.
This weekend is a celebration of life, resilience, connection, and the belief that getting outside and on the water can truly change lives.

About Operation Get Out
Operation Get Out is a nonprofit organization providing intentional nature and water wellness experiences for first responders, military, veterans, nurses, frontline workers, and individuals navigating stress, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and life challenges.
Through outings, retreats, events, and community connection, Operation Get Out helps individuals experience the scientifically supported benefits of being outdoors and on the water.

- Registration fees are non-refundable, as this is a fundraising event.
- If you are unable to attend, your registration may be used to sponsor a first responder, veteran, nurse, or frontline worker.
