The Museum of Chincoteague's ArtSea Annual "5x5" Art Show & Online Auction is return this year, bigger and better than ever! This year, you will have the opportunity to view and bid on the artwork at your leisure at the Museum of Chincoteague Island during regular museum hours of 10:00am and 4:00 pm on Friday, April 10th and Saturday, April 11th, Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th and again on April 24th and 25th. The final time to view the artwork will be during a magical event on April 25th hosted by Bill's Prime Restaurant. In addition,  another option, will be to stay in the comfort of your home and view the artwork online starting Friday, April 10th.  Bidding will be all online starting at noon on April 10th and ending April 25th at 7:00pm. Participants of any age have the opportunity to create works of art measuring 5x5 for sale in the auction.  Anyone may participate. There are a large variety of painted canvases in acrylic, watercolors, oil as well as a few other mediums new to ArtSea this year! We are so very grateful for everyone who took the time to make the artwork and to those who bid. Thank you!

While the artwork may not be visibly signed, our well known, local celebrity Artists are again participating in the event this year. Artwork completed by adults will be auctioned with opening bids at $55. For works of art created by participants age 18 and under, opening bids start at $25. All purchased art will be available for pick up at the Museum of Chincoteague Island starting on Monday, April 27th. Please call to arrange your pickup. 757-336-6117. All winning artwork must be picked up by May 16th or arrangements need to made to mail out prior to that date. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the winner.
