A Celebration of Technology, Cultura, and Creativity
Imagine a space where the rhythm of cultura meets the future of technology—a place where curiosity comes alive. Students interact with robots for the first time, families step into virtual reality together, hands craft vibrant mosaics, and young innovators begin to see themselves reflected in the world of STEAM.
On Saturday, June 6, Latinitas invites you to TechKermés at Austin PBS, a vibrant community festival that reimagines the traditional kermés through the lens of innovation. This one-of-a-kind experience blends culture, creativity, and cutting-edge technology to deliver hands-on, culturally relevant STEAM learning in a fun, inclusive, and accessible environment for all.
TechKermés brings together students, families, and industry leaders to help move the needle on equity in STEAM:
- Sparking Inspiration: Creating powerful “aha!” moments through direct interaction with emerging technologies, making innovation feel exciting and within reach.
- Building Community: Connecting Austin families with the leaders, creators, and innovators shaping the future of our city.
- Empowering Innovators: Ensuring the next generation sees themselves as creators, problem-solvers, and leaders—not just consumers of technology.
