Startup Chica is an exciting one-day conference where students ages 9-14 build businesses and friendships by leveraging STEM skills to learn about entrepreneurship. Students will gain insights from industry experts, and get the opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge by developing their own social enterprise.

Volunteers will be needed in approximately 3 hour time slot commitments on Saturday, April 26th. Volunteer shifts include morning, lunch, and afternoon shifts to help facilitate the flow of the event. Here are further descriptions of each role:

Morning Volunteer: 8am - 11pm You will either assist with registration, ushering, or T-shirts.

Lunch Volunteer: 11am - 2pm Help set up lunch, usher, or clean up.

Afternoon Volunteer: 3:30 - 6:30pm Assist with checkout, usher, or event clean up.  

Mentor: 9am - 6pm Sign up to be considered to be a mentor. Requirements are to learn curriculum and guide the girls through workshops as they create their final pitch deck presentation. All day requirement, leadership, and confidence in teaching curriculum required. You are required to attend 1 informtaion session and 1 orientation session. 

Upon signing up and securing your spot as a volunteer, orientation sessions will be held to provide in depth information, expectations, and to answer any questions you might have.
