On November 26, 2017 our youngest son Jarrod was viciously murdered by someone he trusted,  after a devastatingly brutal trial experience we went on a trip to escape the horrorific reality of exactly what happened to our son and, to decompress, we shut off our phones, social media, and searched our souls. We asked ourselves many questions, and what could we have done differently?  Where do we go from here?  How could we take the negative energy and turn it around to a positive force of good and genuinely make a difference in our community.  We formed Just Love and Kindness in honor of Jarrod L. Klein and received our 501c3 status in 2019.   Our belief is that so much time, effort, and resources are spent AFTER the fact, when people are already in trouble that why dont we focus our attention on getting ahead of it BEFORE the kids get in trouble, reach them early enough and show them a better way and to make a difference in their lives.  Then we found the Texarkana AR. PRIDE Academy (The program is offered to those beginning in 4th grade), and the results of their phenomenal work speaks for itself, if you do not know about their program please look into it, and please support their initiatives because they are making a huge difference in the community.  The Texarkana TX. Police Dept will soon be rolling out a similar program, and we are already making plans and working to towards supporting their program in 2021.  As for us, we know that every hair on our heads are counted and we are always comforted in the knowledge that God has a plan for all of our lives, and we do not want to see even one more family go through what we were forced to contend with.
