About Grow Oak Ridge

Thank you for your support Grow Oak Ridge. Our mission is to improve health by connecting locally grown foods to the public through farmers markets, community gardens and education.

We provide nutrition education and food security programs at our markets.

Our work includes the following:

Nourish Kids Club - Free vegetable tastings for children, who receive $5 in Produce Bucks to spend with local farmers.
Double Up Food Bucks - Doubling SNAP spending at farmers markets.
Grow Your Own: Backyard & Community Gardening Program - Helps families grow thier own food by providing seeds, tools and education.
Market-To-Go - Online farmers market, increasing farmer income and sourcing a local food pantry with fresh produce.
Winter Farmers Market - Providing affordable indoor space for farmers and food makers to sell to the public.
