Mobile Food Pantry Fundraiser for Rural Areas In Need

Let’s work together to end hunger. Donate what you can and help us get our mobile food pantry on the road to helping our communities in need!

Millions Of Children, Families and Homeless People Go To Bed Hungry In America Every Year.  Sadly due to the pandemics, food and transportation cost increase, supply and employee shortages It' hasn't gotten significantly worse! Many parents have lost their jobs and or the primary bread winner during the pandemic. Sadly, there is nothing to indicate it will stop anytime soon.

Galatians 6:2 wants to do our part in the communities we serve in South & North Carolina. Your donation can bring relief to the hundreds worried about where their next meal will come from.

In South Carolina alone, 489,510 people are facing hunger - and of them 153,330 are children.

A food desert occurs when a low-income community, often an underserved community of minorities, has limited access to affordable, healthy food. This can occur because there are no nearby grocery stores or there are no public transportation options to get to these stores.

Over time, discriminatory housing policies, such as zoning codes, have forced black, Hispanic, and other minority groups into low-income housing areas, where healthy and affordable food is less available. For instance, single mother households, and households below the income poverty line, currently face the highest levels of food insecurity. These rates are even higher for black and Hispanic households, as well as households in cities or rural areas, rather than in suburban areas.

Mobile Food Pantries are essential to getting nutritious food into these areas to families in dire need.  Your donation will assist us with obtaining the resources necessary to expand our community food pantry to include a mobile food pantry so that we can take food into these food desert areas.

Refrigerated Vans/Trucks used cost between $11k - $25K.  We are a volunteer run organization with no paid staff all of our funds and resources are diverted to our programs and serving the community.  We don't have any large scale sponsorships or contributers.  We do what we do out of the goodness of our hearts, unfortunately there isn't a lot of funding or support being given to small organizations with small budgets. We depend primarily on public donations both monetary and in-kind. The only way we accomplish our mission is when those of us with an abundance of resources assist those without.  That is what Galatians 6:2 is all about. We use our resources to help those without and in need. There are many with the desire to give but they don't know how or to whom in order for their donation to make a positive impact.  We are the organization to help you do just that. We are vetted and transparent. Our deeds and history can be verified via Guidestar and various other charity verification websites. We try to post as much information as we can without violating our clients privacy.

Our community food pantry is located in close proximity to 1 (Lugoff) of several food desert areas in Kershaw County. Our Programs serve customers not only in Kershaw County but also Richland, Fairfield, Sumter, Lee and various areas throughout the Midlands of South Carolina and some areas of North Carolina experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity.  We truly do a lot with minimal resources and ton of FAITH!
