GiveBig 2023 – ECM Big Boat Bash
This May, Emerald City Music celebrates GiveBig like never before! On Wednesday May 3, 2023 (6-9pm), join us aboard the Waterways Cruises Emerald Star on scenic Lake Union for food, fun, and a LIVE performance of Brownstone: a wander-around electro-acoustic musical installation by Jakub Ciupinski. Your tickets and donations support Emerald City Music in the final hours of GiveBig 2023. Come out and support Emerald City Music's future!
The May 3rd ECM Big Boat Bash tickets include:
● A three hour cruise on the beautiful waters of Lake Union, Seattle on the all-weather, covered, two-story Emerald Star ship
● Hosted food and drink
● A unique live concert that encourages the listeners to "wander around" and experience the music in all areas of the boat, with amazing artists alongside Artistic Director Kristin Lee.
● Exclusive only for Big Boat Bash attendees: there will be a sneak-peak at Emerald City Music's 2023-24 season! (Everyone else will find out about our season in August)!
Tickets can be purchased directly on Emerald City Music's website. All donations on the GiveBig platform, as well as donations and tickets to the Big Boat Bash, help Emerald City Music raise $70,000 to fund our growth as we approach our 2023-24 season.

Emerald City Music has spent seven seasons delivering groundbreaking classical music shows to the Pacific Northwest. We pride ourselves in being a destination for ALL to experience classical music, regardless of background. We believe that everyone has the right and capacity to experience and engage with music. Our work and mission focuses on taking classical music "out of the box", and presenting incredible music as just that... incredible music. Every year, hundreds of visitors come to our venues to experience a wide array of classical music; many experiencing classical music live for the first time.

• Thirty live shows in Seattle, Olympia, and Bellingham, featuring incredible feats like the world-premiere of the TWICE-GRAMMY nominated percussion work, Seven Pillars.
• Fourteen professional-grade concert recordings featuring fourteen top-tier chamber musicians, made available on our at-home streaming platform, Emerald TV.
• A regional educational effort, bringing classical music directly into public schools at no-cost to students and their families.

Why Support Now?
The short of it... Emerald City Music is growing! Over the course of seven successful years we've shed our "startup roots", hired a staff of eight people, grown our concert offerings throughout the region, launched a custom on-demand streaming channel, and much more. All of this relies on the outpouring of generosity from people who truly want to see a bright future for classical music in Seattle. In the short term, GiveBig donations will be used to put artists on stage in the 2023-24 season, pay our staff a competitive wage, and provide our team of dreamers the capacity to look ahead a few years to some big programs on the horizon.
