Digs with Dignity (DIGS) is breaking the cycle of homelessness one space at a time. Using donated, upcycled and sustainable goods, DIGS designs and fully furnishes homes for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.
At our annual Welcome Home Gala, we gather to celebrate our work and the community that makes it all possible. Every $5,000 allows DIGS to fully transform a space in a single day - making it intentional, welcoming and truly personalized. Since 2019, we’ve completed more than 300 full-scale installations for nearly 1,000 Chicago neighbors, while diverting more than 325,000 pounds of furniture from local landfills. Today, 97 percent of those we’ve served and surveyed remain stably housed.
The evening will feature delicious food, beverages, and desserts showcasing some of the best flavors of Chicago, along with exciting auction packages including sports memorabilia, travel experiences, and more. More than just a fundraiser, the Welcome Home Gala is an opportunity to connect more deeply with the mission of DIGS by celebrating alongside the families and supporters who bring this work to life.
