Digs with Dignity is breaking the cycle of homelessness one space at a time. Using donated, upcycled and sustainable goods, DIGS designs and fully furnishes homes for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.
At our annual Welcome Home Gala presented by Headlands Tech, we gather to celebrate a year of incredible growth-and the community that made it possible. This year, DIGS moved into a new 24,000-square-foot warehouse, expanded our team, and doubled our service capacity, allowing us to reach more Chicago families than ever before. Every $5,000 allows DIGS to fully transform a space in a single day-making it intentional, welcoming and truly personalized. Since 2019, we’ve completed more than 300 full-scale installations for nearly 800 Chicago neighbors, while diverting more than 330,000 pounds of furniture from local landfills. Today, 97 percent of those we’ve served and surveyed remain stably housed.
The evening will feature delicious food, beverages and desserts showcasing some of the best flavors of Chicago, along with exciting auction packages including sports memorabilia, travel experiences, and more. More than just a fundraiser, the Welcome Home Gala is an opportunity to pause, reflect and celebrate how far we’ve come-and to express our sincere gratitude for the families, volunteers, donors, partners and supporters who continue to make this work possible!
