Thank you for helping to Create Childhood Joy!
BraveOnes Foundation is a 100% volunteer ran non-profit dedicated to raising resources and awareness for children in need throughout Orange County, CA. Our 5th annual BraveOnes Bowlathon Benefit is quickly approaching and we would love to create childhood joy with you. This year we are raising funds to support our Meaningful Meals and Toys for Joy campaigns. Our spotlight focus is to raise funds for a new Kinetic Center at Ocean View High School. This center allows students with varying disabilities, including Autism, Mental Health Illnesses and other health impairments, to have a safe space to regulate emotions and behaviors. A complete design and build for this space will cost approxinately $30000. So we are lacing up our bowling to score some totally tubular turkeys (or knock out a few pins at least).
To help ensure that the BraveOnes Bowlathon Benefit is a huge success, we appreciate your help with set-up, check-in, food delivery, lane assistance, merch & raffle booth operations and/or clean-up. Thank you in advance for signing up for a shift to help the cause!
A few volunteers may be asked to help unload the cars with Bowlathon supplies. Volunteers will be asked to set-up either the check-in table, merch table, raffle table or lanes with signage. In addition volunteers may be asked to set-up the photography backdrop. Lastly, a few volunteers will be asked to check-in teams as they arrive to the event. We encourage volunteers to wear comfortable shoes as walking is required.
Volunteers will be asked to manage the booth that displays the raffle items. Duties include selling raffle tickets, ensuring that the raffle prizes stay at the table on display, explaining to customers how they may distribute their raffle tickets (it is very simple, but you must be comfortable talking with others) and sending text messages to the raffle winners at approximately 7:45pm.
Volunteers will work the BraveOnes merchandise booth to sell BraveOnes apparel and accessories. Cash, Venmo and card will be accepted via general donation to the website. At the end of the event, volunteers will pack up the merch booth for the clean-up crew to easily carry items to the cars.
Volunteers will be assigned to deliver food to back tables by the lanes. They will also ensure that each lane receives a pitcher of non-alcoholic beverage. In the case that a lane is experiencing technical difficulty, these volunteers will communicate the needs to Fountain Bowl. Lastly, these volunteers will help each team to submit their best score via QR code towards the end of the event.
Volunteers will be asked to pack up any remaining items at the merch and raffle booths. All signage must be collected, packed (or disposed of) and taken to cars for storage delivery. BraveOnes photo back drop will need to be taken down and placed into car.
