$50 Wholesome Snack - Preschool

Feed a nursery or kindergarten class one month of nourishing, wholesome grains for snack, nurturing a foundation for developing balance and focus.

$250 Sandbox - Preschool & Elementary

Sand is a big commodity on the playgrounds. Help us re-fill three sandboxes each semester on the nursery, kindergarten, and lower grades playground, laying the foundation for imaginative play and working together.

From the Nursery wishlist, a new all weather outdoor wooden kitchen set for the playground. It's perfect for making mud pies and other natural delicacies! Featuring a stove, sink and washing machine, it's made of solid eucalyptus to withstand outdoor conditions.

$250 Rocking Chair - Nursery

From the Nursery wishlist, all weather outdoor rocking chairs for teachers. The teacher rocking chair is a place of respose, representing a beacon of warmth when a break is needed from the play of the day.

$25 Play Buckets - Nursery

From the Nursery wishlist, play buckets for the playground. Imagination and creatvitiy abound on the Nusery playground, where a bucket may become a hat, a suitcase, a ktichen appliance, or a construction tool.

$40 Mealtime Placemats - Nursery

From the nursery wishlist, 10 yards of various fabrics to make new placemats for snack and lunchtime. Our youngest students learn social skills and personal care skills during meal time. Placemats are one aspect through which they begin to learn about personal space and caring for our belongings and the areas in which we live.

$1,500 Playgrounds Rebuild

We are lucky to have devoted Family Association volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and help us restructure the landscape of our Nursery, Kindergarten, and lower Grades playgrounds. To achieve this, we need to rent machinery for the earthworks needed to rehabilitate the grounds to mitigate erosion and create sustainable solutions on which we can build new structures and innovate new experiences for our students.

Sanding and sawing simple pieces, they craft gnomes, cutting boards, spreading knives, and more. This is meaningful work that develops their fine motor skills, and inspires their sense of capability and pride in their work.

In Waldorf education, modeling beeswax nurtures creativity and focus as children warm and shape it with their hands, transforming simple material into art while cultivating patience, imagination, and a living connection to the natural world.

$300 Puerto Rico Excursions: 7th-8th grade class trip

From Ms. Bradley's wishlist. This spring our 7th-8th graders plan to travel to Puerto Rico on their milestone class trip. Help us create a memorable experience for this class as they get to explore El Yunque National Forest, a tropical rainforest, experience the history of El Morro and San Cristóbal, kayak Laguna Grande's bioluminescent bay, learn about cacao cultivation at Finca de Cacao La PruVite women-led farm, and experience so much more, including participating in hands-on volunteering, such as replanting native species and help with school repairs or other construction tasks at Escuela Micael, a Waldorf School community.

From the grades movement program wishlist, a set of 10 durable soccer balls constructed to be used on any surface, including concrete. These also have a tacky feel that provides better grip and foot control and come with a carrying bag included for easier storage and to promote longevity.

From the middle school wishlist, a meditation garden. This custom built meditation garden wiill include pebbles and sand to be raked, plants to care for, and stones to stack and position. These elements are part of the design that helps promote relaxation, mindfulness, balance and harmony. Our middle schoolers will find refuge here in between their academic lessons, meaningful work, social interaction and play.
