Shelter Children’s Home, located on a 20-acre property in the outskirts of Ngong, is home to over 180 vulnerable, orphaned, and rescued children. While the home provides safety, education, and emotional support, one crucial aspect of holistic child development remains unmet: access to a safe, structured recreation field for play and physical activity.

Developing this field will offer our children a safe space to grow physically, socially, and mentally. It will also create a new opportunity for sustainability. In Ngong and its surrounding areas, there is a significant shortage of structured sports fields. Schools regularly seek locations for inter-school competitions, and there is known demand from institutions such as the military whose training camps are nearby and they pay to train on well-maintained tracks and fields.
