On April 25, 2026, volunteers from four Indianapolis neighborhoods and Monon trail users will gather at 16th Street & Monon Trail to install a community-designed street mural and traffic calming elements.

This intersection has been uncomfortable and unsafe for too long. Families avoid it. Kids can't cross. Tires screech. We're changing that—and we're doing it together.

Build Day is a one-day volunteer event where you'll help paint, install, and activate a new vision for this corner. Expect good music, morning coffee, great company, and the satisfaction of leaving a mark (literally) on your neighborhood.
