Mission Statement:
Louis Armstrong wanted to give back to the world some of the goodness that he received. Inspired by his legacy, generosity, philanthropic mission, and of course his music, Wonderful World: Friends of Music Therapy Inc (WWFMT) was established to provide assurances for those most in need, through the magic of music and human-centered healthcare.

Wonderful World 2026 honors the Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine and all its programs that occur throughout the year. We take this time to recognize four inspiring honorees: a doctor, a patient, a musical artist, and, for the very first time, a member of the music industry. One of this year's honorees is Dr. Stephan Quentzel, the Medical Director for the Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine for the past 26 years.

Wonderful World Friends of Music Therapy Inc. is a charitable organization within the meaning of section 501 (C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, your contribution will be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
All monies raised through WWFMT, a 501 (c) (3) organization,* go to The Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine in New York City. The Center is home to the Department for Music Therapy at Mount Sinai Hosptial System. Its services and clinical research not only serve patients within the Mount Sinai hospital network, but the Center as well also serves as a pioneer and educator for the global medical community.
Wonderful World: Friends of Music Therapy Inc. is a 501(C) (3) organization and therefore all donations to WWFOMT are tax deductible to the full extent of the law effective as of the date of our incorporation. Accordingly, your donation will be deductible to the extent it exceeds the fair market value of any goods received by you in exchange for your donation.
