Your gift allows them to attend at no cost — a simple yet powerful way to say, “Thank you for serving.”
Every gift of $600 helps a refugee woman get access to our ESL program including transportation and child care for 6 months. In addition, your donation will provide mentoring and emotional support through home visits and prayers.
Refugee women often face greater vulnerability than other family members because many have had limited access to education and leadership opportunities. Most arrive with little or no English and limited professional experience, which makes it harder for them to navigate systems, secure jobs, and find their voice in a new culture.
A young boy told a VOR volunteer, “This is the first time I feel like I have friends here.” and on the last day of summer camp, he prayed with our volunteers in Jesus’ name. Moments like these remind us that camp is more than fun—it is a place of security and hope.
VOR programs for kids and youth do more than create joyful memories—it helps children heal from trauma. We help them build resilience and grow in confidence through acceptance and unconditional love.
Essential items like food, furniture, and household items are highly needed for stabilization. When a refugee family does not have a bed for their children to sleep on, they get anxious and in a fearful situation of not being able to provide. Every bag of fresh groceries is a little something to get a family through the week - it's not only food, it's an act of love. It's how they know that somebody is there for them.
Loving our global neighbors is the second greatest comandment. We take it seriously and apply it with every intention to help them stabilize, integrate, and thrive.
