Join the Veterans Association of North County (VANC) for our Annual Veterans Day Ceremony as we come together to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have proudly served our nation.
Held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM–11:30 AM at VANC in Oceanside, this special community gathering will offer a meaningful morning of remembrance, gratitude, music, and reflection. Lunch will immediately follow the ceremony.
This year, we are honored to welcome CWO3 Chip Dykes, USMC (Ret.) as our keynote speaker. A retired Marine Chief Warrant Officer, former Drill Instructor, longtime veterans advocate, and community leader, Chip has dedicated more than four decades to serving Marines, veterans, military families, and the North San Diego County community—both in uniform and beyond.
The ceremony will also feature a special musical performance by Eve Nasby, a longtime San Diego community leader and passionate supporter of veterans and military families who has frequently lent her voice to military and veteran events throughout the region.
Providing words of reflection will be Chaplain Edwin Handley, LT, USN, who served as Command Chaplain aboard the USS Somerset (LPD 25) and has dedicated his ministry to supporting the spiritual well-being and resilience of Sailors and Marines.
Veterans Day allows us not only to remember those who served, but to gather as a community and personally express our gratitude to the veterans among us. We invite veterans, military families, community members, and supporters to join VANC for this meaningful annual tradition.
