White Oak Bike Co-op and Two Bikes Chattanooga are teaming up for a shared mission:
to ensure that every community member who receives a donated bicycle also receives a secure, reliable bike lock. Together, our organizations provide hundreds of free bicycles each year to neighbors who rely on them for transportation, stability, and independence—but far too often, those bikes are at risk of being stolen simply because riders cannot afford a lock. By combining our efforts, we’re launching a joint fundraiser to purchase 150 high-quality locks that will be distributed at no cost alongside every donated bike.
This collaborative effort strengthens the work both organizations are already doing with partners such as CADAS, the CHATT Foundation, Oasis, and other frontline nonprofits supporting individuals who need safe and dependable mobility. A donated bike can open the door to new employment, medical care, recovery services, and daily essentials—and a donated lock ensures that this life-changing tool stays in the rider’s hands for the long term.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite our community to stand with us. By contributing to this joint campaign, your gift doubles its impact—supporting two grassroots bike organizations working together to remove barriers, expand access, and keep our neighbors rolling safely throughout Chattanooga. Together, we can make sure every donated bike stays where it belongs: with the person who needs it most.
