About our event

Join us for a three-day gathering of researchers, farmers, artists, and community members as we celebrate 50 years of The Land Institute and convene to create a perennial future.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

All tickets include full access to Prairie Festival programming, including keynote talks, artist exhibits, music performances, research tours, film screenings, workshops, yoga, nature walks, and educational sessions. The Friday Community Welcome meal and Sunday Community Kernza® Pancake Breakfast are also included in the ticket price.

PRICING
Prairie Festival uses a community pricing model to support broad participation. Please select the option that feels right for you.

NEED A FREE TICKET?
A limited number of free tickets are available upon request. If cost is a barrier, please complete our contact form and select “Prairie Festival 2026” in the dropdown menu labeled "Purpose of message." We will provide a ticket—no questions asked. Camping can be included as needed.

 


Optional event offers
Optional add-ons must be purchased during registration and may not be available on-site.

CAMPING PASS: $25 PER VEHICLE
Primitive tent camping in our prairie pasture will feature solar showers, portable toilets, handwashing stations, and potable water. Space is limited; register early. 

  • Check-in: Friday, Sept. 25, 3–5 PM
  • Check-out: Sunday, Sept. 27, by 12 PM
  • Tent and car camping only (no RVs, campers, hookups, or campfires)

SATURDAY MEAL PASS: $65 PER PERSON
The Saturday meal pass includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner from regional food partners. Friday’s Community Meal and Sunday’s Kernza® Pancake Breakfast are included with all festival tickets. 
We’re partnering with regional food providers, including Prairieland Market, Seraphim Bread, Dispatch Pizza, and Umami Bowl. When possible, meals will feature Kernza® perennial grain.

For guests not purchasing a Saturday meal pass, you may bring your own food into the event or take a short drive into town to find local restaurant options. We’ll offer meat, vegetarian, and vegan meals. We’ll do our best to accommodate additional dietary needs, though options may vary by meal or vendor. Please make meal selections for you and your guests during registration. Availability may be limited closer to the event.
