The Freedom Collective Fishing Tournament is a month-long inaugural event running May 1–31, giving anglers the flexibility to fish when and where they want while competing for great prizes. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just love being on the water, this tournament is your opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, connect with other enthusiasts, and support the important work of The Freedom Collective.

The Freedom Collective Inc is a nonprofit organization that exists to glorify God by bringing hope to victims of sexual exploitation, empowering them to live free, and ultimately abolishing sex trafficking.

1st place only winners will be awarded for each species. First weighed fish is the tie- breaker.

Adult: Heaviest Speckled Seatrout

Adult: Heaviest Redfish

Adult: Heaviest Pompano

Adult: Heaviest Flounder

Child: Heaviest Ladyfish

Child: Heaviest Catfish

The 1st place winners in each adult category will recieve a $300 cash prize.

The 1st place winners in each children's category will recieve a prize package (over $100 value!)

🎣 Official Tournament Rules 

1. Tournament Dates:
May 1, 2026 at 8AM – May 31, 2026 at Noon. 

2. Eligible Waters: 
The waters of Bay, Walton, Okaloosa Santa Rosa & Escambia Counties.

3. Tackle: 
All fish must be caught using a hook and line with either live or artificial bait. The use of cast nets, entanglement nets, gigs, or traps is not permitted. 

4. Scoring Format:
Heaviest fish (scale weight with proof) weighed at Bay Baits (24295 US-331 unit b, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459).

1st place only winners will be awarded for each species. The first weighed fish is the tie- breaker.

Fish must be caught through recreational fishing only; fish obtained through commercial or charter operations are not permitted.

5. Catch Verification:
Weigh-in ONLY at Bay Baits 

Fish caught the same day an individual has paid the tournament entry fee cannot be weighed in (Example: you entered tournament at 2pm, you must wait until 6am the following day to weigh in a fish).

6. Legal Requirements:

• All participants must follow the laws of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservative Commission.

• Participants are responsible for knowing and abiding by the legal limitations, rules of this tournament, and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservative Commission regulations pertaining to licenses, size and bag limits along with any other regulations that may apply. 

• Fish that are brought to be weighed in must be within legal limits. All fish will be measured prior to weighing. Fish can be live or dead and un-gutted, but cannot be frozen or previously frozen.

• Bay Baits and its employees as weigh-masters will disqualify any fish that is determined to be undersize, oversize, or unnaturally altered (weights, bait stuffed in stomach, tail clipped, etc).

• Decisions on disqualification are final and cannot be appealed.

•      - Redfish slot limit is 18-27"

       - Speckled trout minimum is 15"

       - Flounder minimum is 14"

       - Pompano minimum is 11" fork length

       - Ladyfish no limit

       - Catfish no limit

7. Sportsmanship Clause

• Unsportsmanlike behavior = disqualification

• Tournament committee final decision

Prizes: 

Winners in each adult category will receive $300.

Winners in each child category will receive a prize package valued at over $100. 

Prizes will be issued on May 31. 

Release of Claims: By participating, each participant agrees to release, forever discharge, and hold harmless Bay Baits, The Freedom Collective Inc, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, partners, members, and attorneys (collectively referred to as the “Releasees”) from any and all losses, claims, or demands of any kind arising from the negligence of the Releasees or from any other cause related to or occurring during the tournament. The participant acknowledges that they have received, reviewed, and agree to follow all Rules and Regulations, as well as this Release of Claims. By doing so, the participant accepts full responsibility for any risk of bodily injury or death resulting from the negligence of the Releasees or from any other cause connected to or occurring during the tournament.

Disputes: Any disputes must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the weigh-in. All disputes will be reviewed by a three-judge panel, and the panel’s decision will be final.
