About The Champion Project (TCP)
The Champion Project is a 501(c)(3) organization that mobilizes faith-based communities to support youth in foster care living in 24/7 staffed group homes—today’s alternative to traditional orphanages. Through mentoring, one-on-one tutoring, and our Book Bus, we bring caring adults, educational support, stability, and consistency into the lives of youth who need it most.
Why It Matters
Every child has a story—and every story deserves to be filled with hope and possibility. Many youth living in group homes are never adopted and ultimately age out of foster care without even one consistent adult they can depend on. One of the strongest predictors of a young person’s future success is having caring, dependable adults in their life. TCP surrounds youth with committed mentor teams and targeted academic support, building relationships that can change the trajectory of their lives.
