The Arc of the Capital Area is taking an exciting step forward—we’re expanding our Art & Education program to Marble Falls, and we need your help to make it possible! For too long, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in this region have had to travel outside their community to find programs that foster creativity, independence, and connection. Together, we can change that. With your support, we can open doors to opportunity right here in Marble Falls and ensure no one is left without the resources they deserve.

Why Expand?
For many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), the biggest barrier isn’t ability—it’s access. Transportation challenges, limited local options, and the high cost of traveling outside their community often mean that families have to go without the support their loved ones deserve. By expanding our Art & Education program, we can bring opportunity closer to home—so creativity, growth, and connection are available right in the neighborhood.

Why It Matters
Did you know that in Texas, only about 31% of high school graduates with a disability enroll in college within two years, compared to far higher rates for their peers? Even fewer complete a degree. This means that once high school ends, many young adults with IDD are left without a clear path forward. Our programs help fill that gap, offering a place to learn new skills, find independence, and build community. Expanding into Marble Falls ensures that access to opportunity doesn’t stop at graduation—it continues, right where people live.

Where We Need Help
Texas has one of the lowest reimbursement rates for day programs in the country—just $35 per day, far below the actual cost of running quality, community-based services. At the same time, tens of thousands of Texans with IDD are stuck on Medicaid waiver waitlists, some waiting more than 16 years to access services that would help cover program costs. These funding gaps make expansion challenging.

$30,000 Impact Partner Sponsor

Impact Partners keep the lights on and the doors open. This sponsorship secures the stability of one campus by covering two years of facility costs. Your support guarantees a safe, welcoming space where participants can belong and grow. Impact Partners are featured on our program webpage and highlighted in quarterly impact reports.

$15,000 Community Advocate Sponsor

This level opens the door to employment for 15 Texans with IDD, providing each with a full year of individualized career coaching. Your sponsorship equips participants with tools, confidence, and support to gain and maintain local jobs. Community Advocates are recognized in program reports, spotlighted online, and celebrated in a social media feature.

$7,500 Shining Star Sponsor

By covering the difference in reimbursement, Shining Star Sponsors ensure two participants have uninterrupted access to services for a full year. Your gift provides stability for families who would otherwise face financial gaps. Sponsors are thanked in newsletters and social media features that highlight their impact.

$3,500 Pathway Friend

Pathway Friends fund specialized materials, technology, and program supports that make everyday experiences possible. This investment enhances curriculum and fosters participant creativity and independence. Recognition includes program newsletters and a social media spotlight.

$1,500 Program Ally

Program Allies help implement Pathways to Employment into campuses, preparing participants to confidently enter the workforce. Your gift makes job readiness training accessible to every participant. Allies are recognized in newsletters and celebrated on social media.
