Legislative Affairs & Reporting Committee

Legislative Affairs & Reporting involves tracking policies, advocating for nursing interests, and keeping members informed on legislative changes. This committee ensures nurses have a voice in shaping healthcare policy and encourages member engagement in advocacy efforts.

Social Media & Marketing Committee
  • Social Media:

    • Coordinate with BOD and committees to prepare timely content
    • Develop monthly content calendars (2-3 posts per week)
    • Prepare, schedule, and monitor posts
    • Manage comments and maintain brand guidelines
    • Track social media analytics monthly
    • Update best practices guide annually
    • Train new committee members
  • Website:

    • Draft clear, engaging content
    • Work with the webmaster to keep the website updated
    • Ensure brand consistency across the site

Membership Committee

 

Promotes engagement and development of membership by:

  • Promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging among members;
  • Advising on public relations activities by contributing content to TNA D9 website and social media platforms; 
  • Providing a channel of communication for sharing ideas, experiences and planning for further enrichment of the programs and services of the organization for its membership.

Professional Development Committee
  • Identifies professional practice gaps and conduct environmental scanning to curate content for on-demand CNE and live educational activities for the district.
  • Find TNA D9 members to volunteer their time and expertise on CNE offerings; participating in design and development of activities. 
  • Evaluate and analyze post-activity evaluations to develop and improve future educational opportunities.

Nursing Celebration Committee

This includes sub-committees for Publicity, Silent Auction, and Corporate Sponsors

  • Assess effectiveness of previous celebrations and ongoing improvement in the functions of the celebration/gala
  • Recommend new awards; establish criteria for evaluation candidates and nomination.
  • Research available state and national awards for which TNA member nurses could be nominated.
  • Solicit nominations and identify potential awardees. Assist candidates with nomination application.
  • Plan and conduct the celebration/gala in professional manner and raise funds to meet the purposes of the Foundation via several subcommittees
