Join us Thursday, September 17th for the next evening in our Swan Songs @ The Artichoke benefit series, where we’re honored to host local blues legends Alan Hager and Albert Reda!
ABOUT ALAN HAGER AND ALBERT REDA:
Alan first picked up a guitar at age ten and became a blues and jazz prodigy. He was playing local clubs as a teenager before heading to Boston’s Berklee School of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of jazz guitar legend Pat Metheny. He is one of the most respected guitarists in Portland, and best known for his many years working with Curtis Salgado.
Albert Reda has played his bass and shared his vocals with Northwest music artists such as Ellen Whyte, Bill Rhodes, John Bunzow, Jon Koonce, Lloyd Jones, Duffy Bishop, Terry Robb, Kim Field, and many others. He’s received a baker’s dozen Muddy Awards from the Cascade Blues Association and has been inducted into their Hall of Fame.
Together, they’re an irresistible jazz/blues combo, and our September evening promises to be one for the memory books.
