Join us Thursday, November 19th for the next evening in our Swan Songs at The Artichoke benefit series, where we'll showcase two of the Pacific Northwest's finest roots acts, Jody Carroll and Mojo Holler, who bring their own distinct takes on American roots music to Artichoke Music in support of Swan Songs Portland.

Jody is an award-winning blues and roots songwriter and master fingerstyle and slide guitarist whose Get Inside This House was voted Best Independent Blues Release of the Year by the International Blues Foundation. He's shared stages with Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Johnny Winter, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, Charlie Musselwhite, and many others, drawing from blues, folk, mountain music, and jazz.
Mojo Holler is a Portland trio weaving indie folk rock that runs from the Appalachian mountains to the Mississippi Delta. The band performed at South By Southwest in 2016 following their debut album, Where Black Ravens Flew, and released their most recent album, ROOT, as an acoustic reverie on remorse and redemption. Willamette Week's 2023 Best of Portland issue called them "a delightful slice of Appalachia in the Pacific Northwest."
Together, they offer an evening of American roots music drawn from the deepest wells of the tradition, played by musicians who've spent lifetimes inside it.
