$20 Farm to Table Fermentation Kombucha Class

Spend a delightful early summer afternoon at the home of Selena McIntyre learning the art of brewing your own kombucha.

 

In this hands-on workshop for up to 6 guests, you’ll explore the basics of fermentation and discover how to flavor kombucha with the gifts of the season. Together, you’ll pick fresh berries and gather garden herbs to create beautiful, natural infusions. Selena will guide you through the brewing process, from sweet tea to the magic of fermentation. Each guest will leave with a bottle of kombucha to enjoy and their own SCOBY (the living culture that makes kombucha!) to begin brewing at home.

 

A perfect experience for curious home brewers, fermentation enthusiasts, or anyone who enjoys learning something new in good company. Come sip, learn, and take home the start of your own kombucha brewing adventure.

We will shop for the ingredients and then prepare sofrito, a base for almost all PR dishes. We will use the sofrito to make arroz con habichuelas (rice and beans) and prep amarillos (sweet plantains.) We will then enjoy a tasty meal and have a little to take home and use in your own kitchen.

Drinks, dancing, and delicious snacks!

 

Light hand foods (things like – amarillos, tostones, bacalaitos, emapanadas, rellenos de papas, and some desserts). Cocktails and mocktails, sangria, beer, and lemon/limeade. And would it be a PR Fest without a salsa lesson? Can we start the dancing sooner and include some other kinds of soulful and R&B steps? Of course we can!

Experience the taste and wonder of fresh pawpaws in the heart of Wrightsville!

 

Your group will be guided on an exclusive tour of Dark Hollow Biodynamic, where you’ll learn about regenerative agriculture and witness firsthand the holistic methods that nurture both the land and its delicious harvest.

After the tour, you’ll roll up your sleeves to pick your own pawpaws—the largest edible fruit native to North America—famed for their custardy texture and tropical flavor notes. Learn to be a cookier!

 

Led by Stephanie Babwah, owner of Stephanie's Oven and SWS family member. She will walk you through the steps to decorate your own cookies including how to make royal icing, and techniques such as flooding and piping. Enjoy cocktails and light picnic faire while you learn a new skill. You will leave with beautiful and delicious cookies to share!

Give yourself a well-deserved night out while the kids enjoy an evening made just for them!

 

Drop your children off at Miss Kat's home in Columbia, PA for a fun-filled kids’ night while you head off to the Puerto Rican Dance Party (or wherever else the evening takes you). Designed for ages 3+ (potty trained, please), this relaxed and playful evening includes hands-on pizza-making—each child will create their own personal pizza using soft kindergarten bread dough—plus a mix of outdoor games and indoor crafts tailored to the group’s interests and the weather. If conditions allow, we may even end the night with marshmallows toasted over the fire pit!

Activities will be geared toward younger children, though older kids who enjoy helping and playing alongside little ones are welcome.

Pool will be securely gated and not in use. Please share any dietary restrictions in advance.

Relax and enjoy your evening knowing your kids are having just as much fun as you are!
