Meet Our Founders/Hosts

of Our Cherished Causes

Single Parent Advocate is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that equips, empowers, and encourages single moms, single dads, and their children. We connect families to practical resources, uplifting community, and real hope so they don’t have to struggle alone. We are a nonprofit that reaches out to help single parents, their children, and their support organizations. It is our commitment to continue our advocacy, our training with families, consumers, and professionals, and our efforts to organize and support these families.

Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be used to provide educational scholarships to be awarded through the Scott Murray Foundation for the benefit of a single parent and/or single parent child who is actively pursuing their college education and who meets the requirements of the scholarship.

In keeping with our tradition, we will be including celebrities who will play alongside each of you!

As we learn of our player celebrities, we will be sure to communicate with each of you here.

Free Volunteer 11AM-3PM

You can volunteer from 11 AM–3 PM at the Life Changer Golf Classic to support on‑course play and midday activities, often in exchange for an event ticket or similar benefit arranged in advance with the organizer.

During this shift, golfers are already on the course, so the focus is on keeping play, hospitality, and fundraising elements running smoothly. You’ll be in the middle of the action while helping Single Parent Advocate raise funds for single‑parent families.

Typical roles for the 11–3 shift include:

  • On‑course contest holes: Helping with longest drive, closest‑to‑the‑pin, or other contests and recording winners.

  • Hospitality: Handing out water and snacks at designated holes or comfort stations and watching for guests who need assistance.

  • Raffle or auction support: Answering basic questions, helping with tickets or bids, and keeping displays organized.

  • Turn‑time help: Assisting when players pass back by the clubhouse or main station for restrooms, refreshments, or directions.

Benefits vary by year, but midday volunteers are often offered lunch and drinks during their shift and may receive some level of event access or a tournament‑related perk as a thank‑you. Please confirm exact benefits with the event coordinator when you sign up and let them know you prefer the 11 AM–3 PM golf tournament shift and are interested in any “volunteer‑for‑ticket” options available.
