**************
As my 65th birthday approaches on September 30th, I find myself reflecting on a year of
profound loss and renewed purpose. This year, I said goodbye to my beloved partner
Timothy Monroe and my sister Lois Welch, who was also my best friend. Their absence
is deeply felt, yet their memory inspires me to continue the work that has been close to
my heart for years.
As I reflect on a year marked by both milestones and loss, I would be remiss not to
share how both Timothy and Lois were ardent supporters of my work, championing my
vision for Saffron Trust and its passionate mission to cycle women out of poverty. They
were a support system that elevated and uplifted me through every storm.
In honor of Timothy and Lois, and to create a lasting legacy for the two people I dearly
loved, I have chosen a unique way to commemorate my birthday. I am reaching out to
the community with an inspiring initiative: "Elevate You, Elevate Her: 65 Stories of
Women Rising Together."
I invite 65 women to share their personal stories of triumph, resilience, and growth.
Through this collection of narratives, I aim to highlight the power of women supporting
one another and the ripple effect of empowerment in our community. Lois and Timothy
lived by elevating me, and now I want to continue that legacy.

and visit our webpage. Join me in celebrating life, honoring loved ones, and uplifting
women's voices in our community. While we're still finalizing the details of our upcoming
Elevate campaign, I'm reaching out to our community for support."
