About Craft Contemporary
Founded as a museum in 1973, Craft Contemporary reveals the potential of craft to educate, captivate, provoke, and empower. With a focus on contemporary art made from craft media and processes, Craft Contemporary presents dynamic exhibitions by established and emerging artists and designers who are often underrepresented in larger art institutions. Craft Contemporary complements these exhibitions with a creative line-up of educational programs, including hands-on workshops led by professional artists. Craft Contemporary cultivates an environment for people in Los Angeles to deepen their relationship to art, creativity, and one another. Ryman Arts alumnus Rody Lopez (Ryman ’05) currently leads Craft Contemporary as Executive Director.

About Ryman Arts
From just 12 students in a single classroom in 1990, Ryman Arts has grown into a vibrant, thriving community of over 550 students each year across four campuses: Otis College of Art & Design, Cal State Fullerton, USC, and Cal State San Bernardino. And just as our classes have grown, so has our alumni community, with over 3,600 alumni making their mark in the world. Over the last 36 years, our alumni offerings have grown robustly, providing college preparation & career development programs, internship and career opportunities, and online and in-person events for our alumni to connect with each other and the Ryman Arts community. In the past year, alumni showed up in powerful ways: volunteering, mentoring fellow alumni, leading workshops, gathering at events, to name a few. As we look ahead, we aim to continue creating opportunities for alumni to engage with the Ryman Arts community, nurturing relationships, and creating continuous pathways for Ryman Arts alumni to find success in their careers and in life. Alumni can stay connected at rymanarts.org/keep-in-touch.

By sponsoring this event, you’ll not only celebrate the achievements of our alumni but also directly support the next generation of young artists. Your generosity provides incoming Ryman Arts students with their very own Art Bins filled with high-quality art supplies, ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive creatively. Together, we’ll reflect on the legacy of Ryman Arts and help shape its future for years to come!

Unable to attend? You can still show your support for the Ryman Arts alumni community with a tax-deductible donation!
