Join us for our next Hunger-Free Community Coalition Meeting, where partners across Waco and McLennan County come together to strengthen collaboration and advance solutions to reduce food insecurity in our community.
At our last meeting, we explored rising food insecurity rates, gaps in SNAP enrollment, and opportunities to expand access to summer meals for children. Together, we identified practical strategies—from improving outreach and transportation to enhancing meal sites and deepening partnerships—that can help ensure more families have consistent access to nutritious food.
This upcoming meeting will continue that momentum, with a focus on:
- Strengthening partnerships ahead of summer meal programming
- Connecting organizations to new opportunities (including the upcoming Central Texas Food Bank Waco facility)
- Advancing collaborative, community-driven solutions to close the food access gap
