This class is for anyone that wants to brush up on their sewing basics or wanting to know more about how to sew. This one day workshop will guide you through all the steps of understanding sewing tools, when to use them in your project and making a small sample book with techniques that could help you with future projects.

Instructor Bio: Shametra is a multi-dimensional artist that intersects all aspects of design with various healing modalities of the physical form. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, immersed in the world of art through both parents, she continued on a creative path by receiving a B.F.A in Fashion Design at Kent State University. There she found the textile studio which sparked a focus on studying the interrelationship of textiles and fashion design. Shametra has over 15 years of sewing experience and knowledge from machine function to making functional clothing.
