Instructor: Maggie Latham
Saturday October 17th | 10am-4pm
A one day intensive workshop where participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a holistic natural dyeing process, explore a diversity of materials and dye colors on cloth, blending, layering and modifying colors, and learn ways to develop or start their own natural dye practice. Materials are provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own dyeables (of natural fibers)
This includes identifying and ethically foraging local dye material, harvesting from a natural dye garden, reusing common kitchen scraps or other common staples, dyeing with a variety of natural mordants and dyes, and using thickened dyes or mordants.
