Praxis Fiber Workshop
EVENT TIME

Sat, April 11, 2026 to Sun, April 12, 2026

Saturday April 11th & Sunday April 12th 10am-4pm

Instructor: Jennifer B Williams

This two-day workshop offers a complete introduction to inkle band weaving, combining the fundamentals of Inkle Basics with the pattern-building skills of Two-for-One. On the first day, students will learn every step needed to set up and weave successfully: making string heddles, warping the loom, reading drafts, and weaving sturdy plain weave bands. The second day expands on these skills with an introduction to pick-up techniques: Baltic and Horizontal Stripe, opening the door to more intricate designs and patterns. By the end of the workshop, participants will have both the confidence and the foundational skills to continue exploring the creative possibilities of inkle weaving.

Instructor Bio: Jennifer B Williams is an avid band weaver. She is passionate about spreading love for the craft and all its wonderful possibilities. Get her talking about inkle and you may need to sit for a while. She has spent many years exploring band weaving techniques practiced around the world and enjoys the challenge of interpreting them for the inkle loom. Her work has been published in Handwoven Magazine’s Easy Weaving with Little Looms and when inspired, she shares some of her ideas on her blog, inkledpink.com, and on Instagram @inkledpink.
