Memorial Day 2026 | Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs

We gather. We carry. We remember.

On Memorial Day, we don’t just pause. We move — together.

In partnership with Official Project Grit, CrossFit 737, and RUCK UP, Patriots’ Hall is honored to open our 10-acre campus to veterans, active-duty families, and the broader community for a powerful day of remembrance and unity.

This isn’t just a workout. It’s not just a ruck. It’s not just a fundraiser.

It’s a community choosing to show up, meet new friends, share common experiences, support each other, and have fun...all in remembrance of those who have served. This is a family-friendly event! All ages and fitness levels are welcome! Children 5 and under may participate with an adult at no cost. Strollers and dogs on leash are welcome. 

Our goal: $60,000 to support veterans and military families across Central Texas.

And whether you come to sweat, walk, cheer, fundraise, or simply stand in support — you belong here.


WHAT IS MURPH?

The Murph is a Memorial Day workout performed nationwide in honor of Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy and all those who gave their lives in service.

The traditional version includes:

  • 1-mile run (first mile)
  • 100 pull-ups
  • 200 push-ups
  • 300 air squats
  • 1-mile run (last mile)
  • 20 lb vest optional
  • Body weight movements can be broken up into 20 or 10 rounds of 5/10/15)

But Murph isn’t about intensity. It’s about intention. You do not have to do the full Murph...we have all types of modifications so you can go at your own pace and participate with your comrades. 

You choose your pace. You choose your level. You choose your journey.


WHAT IS A RUCK?

To “ruck” means to walk with a weight on your back. Rooted in military tradition, rucking represents shared burden and shared strength. On Memorial Day, we carry weight and walk with others, make new friends and share experiences...in remembrance — and in solidarity.


A DAY FOR EVERYONE

This event is designed to be family-friendly and community-centered. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!

Whether you are:

  • A CrossFit athlete
  • A veteran wanting to honor friends and make new friends
  • A parent walking with kids
  • A group of coworkers forming a team
  • Someone who simply wants to support

PARTICIPATION OPTIONS

Choose the experience that fits you.

🇺🇸 Full Murph

(20 lb vest recommended if you have one)

  • 1-mile run (first mile)
  • 100 pull-ups
  • 200 push-ups
  • 300 air squats
  • 1-mile run (last mile)

🇺🇸 Modified Murph (Your Own Journey!)

  • ½-mile walk or run (first 1/2 mile)
  • 25 - 50 pull-ups or rows
  • 50 - 100 push-ups or incline push-ups
  • Air squats to comfort
  • ½-mile walk or run (last 1/2 mile)

🎒 5-Mile Memorial Ruck

  • Recommended 20–30 lb pack
  • Individual or 4-person team
  • Walk at your own pace
  • Murph + Ruck OR Ruck only

Carry weight. Carry a name. Carry purpose. Or simply carry yourself and show up.

WHY THIS MATTERS

All proceeds benefit Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs, serving more than 70,000 veterans in Central Texas.

It costs approximately $600 per veteran per year to provide:

  • VA benefits navigation
  • Therapeutic and wellness programs
  • Career and transition support
  • Peer-based connection

At no cost to those who served.

THE DETAILS

Get your friends, grab a pack, and join us on Memorial Day. Come for the MURPH and/or RUCK - Stay for the good times.

REGISTRATION:

Sign up as a participant or family and join us on the morning of May 25th, 2026, to work out for a great cause. As a participant or family group, you can also help us raise money by sharing your participant link with family and friends. Top prizes are awarded to participants who raise the most contributions.

EVENT:

The Murph will start at 7:30 am, followed by The Ruck stepping off at 9:30 am. Day-of-registration will start at 7:00 am. Starting Point and Parking is at Patriots' Hall - 231 Patriots' Hall Blvd, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.

Note: We have planned the Ruck as a walk and look forward to the camaraderie and spirit found in walking and talking together.

ROUTE:

The Murph will take place at our Patriots' Hall Timberscape Course (on our campus). The Ruck will be 5 Miles starting and ending at the Patriots' Hall Main building. The route is to be declassified in the coming weeks. While we encourage 5 miles, it's not mandatory - we want all to have fun and enjoy being together for this great cause!

WHAT TO PACK:

Wear a backpack, military rucksack, camping pack, etc with any preferred items. Classically, the Army Special Forces wear a Ruck with 50 pounds of equipment during all portions of the Special Forces Qualifications Course. Once on mission, that weight can be well over 100 pounds. HOWEVER...we are much nicer and would love for you to show your support with whatever you want to carry in your bag (weights, sand, an old pillow, a couple stuffed animals, a beach ball, anything).
