About Chef Uyen Pham: Graduating from the Culinary Institute of America at the top of her class, Chef Uyen Pham later worked and apprenticed at some of NYC’s finest restaurants owned by Danny Meyer, Alfred Portale, Anita Lo, Andrew Carmellini, and Gray Kunz. After nearly a decade living on the East Coast, she moved to Seattle and worked at Farestart before opening her own restaurant, Dumpling Dojo. It was during that 3-year stint in the Pacific Northwest that she discovered her true passion: teaching others the joys the culinary arts. Ali Khataw's account of capturing this photo in Tanzania in 2023: "The lion was walking towards a berm on the side of the road, so I asked our guide to go forward and park at a location that I felt the lion would stop at. Guess what - he stopped where I predicted and was at a higher ground than the vehicle. The lion was approximately 10-15 feet from my lens!" This photograph is printed in stunning black and white on brushed aluminum. The piece measures 40 inches wide and 60 inches tall.
