Our Welcome Kits provide essential hygiene items and comfort to foster youth in group homes, many of whom arrive with little to nothing of their own. Each kit includes shampoo, a toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, underwear, body wash, a night light, and more. 

We distribute about 400 kits every month, offering dignity and care during a critical time in each child's life. We are currently seeking sponsors to help us reach our $20,000 goal for 2026, which will provide hygiene essentials for 1,000 children at $20 per kit. 

Your support brings comfort, confidence, and a message that these kids are not forgotten.

When a child is removed from their home, it's often sudden and traumatic. Our Go Kits provide immediate comfort and dignity in that critical moment. Given to DCS caseworkers, each kit includes a clean set of pajamas, diapers or underwear, wipes in all sizes, and a $125 gift card to help provide a hot meal for the child. 

Each kit costs around $375 per kit, and tonight, we invite you to help us raise and reach our next year's goal of $15,000.

For young adults who have aged out of foster care or are living fully independently, the transition into adulthood can be both exciting and overwhelming. At this stage, they are responsible for ALL of their living expenses, without the support of a guardian or a system to fall back on. Many leave care at age 21 with little more than what they can carry. 

OCJ Kids is here to walk with them into independence. 

Through our Transitional Suitcase Sponsorship, we provide a one-time supply of essential items designed to create a more stable and hopeful living environment as they begin life on their own. 

Each phase three suitcase includes:

• Personal hygiene products
• Cups, plates, and bowls
• Twin air mattress and sheet set
• Quilt or blanket and pillow
• Towel set
• Shower curtain and hooks
• Life Skills Magazine
• Walmart gift card
• 31-day bus pass for transportation to and from work, school, or appointments

The Interact Project is designed to support foster youth on their healing journey by addressing the impacts of trauma while building essential developmental skills. Through a thoughtful evaluation process, we meet each child where they are and provide activities that strengthen both fine and gross motor skills while encouraging creativity, resilience, confidence, and self-expression.

This unique program is made possible through our partnership with Northern Arizona University's occupational therapy doctoral students. Together, they help us develop interactive magazines and specialized Interact Boxes filled with therapeutic tools and activities tailored to each child's individual needs. These resources not only bring joy but also foster growth, build confidence, and introduce healthy coping strategies that support long-term healing.

Each Interact Box is thoughtfully customized based on the child's age and developmental needs. Our Teen Interact Boxes cost approximately $125 each to create, while our Elementary Interact Boxes cost approximately $75 each. Every box is carefully assembled with age-appropriate activities, sensory items, and educational resources designed to make a meaningful impact in the life of a child who has experienced trauma.

One Bright Star is a heartwarming holiday event that brings the joy of Christmas to foster youth who are often forgotten during the season. Held at a local bowling alley, the event includes fun, community, and personalized gifts chosen from each child's wish list. 

We are looking for six generous sponsors to help us reach our 15,000 goal and ensure every child feels seen, valued, and celebrated. Your support will help make next year's Christmas truly unforgettable for Arizona's foster youth.

Tools for Success is our annual back-to-school celebration where we unite our community to support foster and at-risk youth as they prepare for a new school year. Through fun activities and meaningful connection, we build relationships and remind these kids they're not alone. Each child receives a backpack filled with essential school supplies to help them start the year confident and prepared. 

We are seeking five sponsors to help us reach our $20,000 goal for next year's event. Your support will directly impact the success, confidence, and future of Arizona's youth.
