2026 UND Celebrations an evening with Zack Imfeld, Director of Residential Life

You are cordially invited to ND Club of Austin's 2026 UND Celebrations - Residential Life at the University of Notre Dame

Come join us on Thursday, April 16, 2026, to spend an evening with Zack Imfeld, Director of Residential Life: Recruitment, Hiring, and Retention

Join us for an evening conversation on Residential Life at the University of Notre Dame.

This one-hour talk will explore the history and evolution of Notre Dame’s distinctive hall system, why it has always been more than housing, and why it remains central to the University’s campus life today. We’ll look at the current context facing students and share thoughts on where Residential Life is headed in the years ahead.

Drawing from his time as Rector of Morrissey Hall (2016–2023), Zach Imfield will weave in personal stories about leadership, community, faith, and the everyday moments that make the hall experience so formative.

If you’re an alum in Austin who still remembers your hall as “home,” this will be a relaxed, conversational hour to reconnect with what makes University of Notre Dame so distinctive.

When: Thursday, April 16, 2026
Where: Presentation & Q&A will be held at the Redbud Center @ LCRA 3601 Lake Austin Blvd, Austin, TX 78703

About Director of Residental Life, Zach Imfeld

Zack Imfeld was born and raised in Burbank, California and is the product of Holy Cross Education at multiple levels. He attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon, and then the University of Notre Dame where he earned an M.Div. degree. Following his coursework, he served as the Rector of Morrissey Manor at the University of Notre Dame for seven years. During his time as Rector, he created Morrissey's signature event-- the Outdoor Gamewatch where 1000 members of the Notre Dame family watch Notre Dame football's first away game on South Quad each year. His favorite memory of his time in Morrissey was when 100 residents attended his wedding to his wife, Lauren and the 35 person Morrissey Mass Choir sang "Canticle of the Turning."

In July 2023, Zack began his service as the Director of Residential Life for Recruitment, Hiring, and Retention where he recruits excellent people to join our team, leads efforts to improve the experience of all members of Residential Life, and supports nine Rectors and their hall communities.
