Your gift helps eligible older teens and young adults at Mosaic get their learner’s permit and driver’s license.

Costs cover study support for the learner’s test, booking test appointments, transport to those appointments, driving lessons, and testing and license fees.

In South Africa, about six in ten young people are unemployed. A driver’s license is often a basic requirement for a good job, whether a young person goes on to college or straight into work, and whether or not they own a car. In the communities Mosaic serves, the cost of getting one puts it out of reach.

We’re starting this pilot initiative with a small group of candidates. If it’s successful, we’ll open this opportunity to many more young people.
