More In Music's mission is to illuminate the diverse career paths within the music industry, ignite the passion of current and future leaders, and cultivate a culture of empowerment and support.

Peer to Peer - We believe in the power of shared experiences. Through storytelling and mutual support, we foster a community where industry professionals uplift and inspire one another, creating a unified and nurturing environment.

Peer to Youth - Our goal is to offer young individuals invaluable insights into the real-world experiences of industry veterans. By sharing stories of success and challenges, we equip the next generation with the knowledge and resilience they need to navigate their own musical journeys.

Youth to Future - We bridge the gap between emerging talent and established leaders through comprehensive programs. Our panels, workshops, mentorships, internships, and digital content—including web series and podcasts—are designed to provide practical skills and opportunities for young professionals to thrive in their careers.

More In Music Student Cohort Program

The More In Music Student Cohort Program offers a hand-on learning experience for students and early-career creatives ages 18-25 interested in pursing careers in the music industry.

Rather than operating as a traditional classroom or lecture-based program, the cohort functions as a working production team that produces the More In Music Conference. Throughout the program, students receive ongoing mentorship and guidance from experience professionals/advisors and utlize industry-standard tools and resources.

The Student Cohort is organized into committees that reflect real industry roles and dictate students' responsibilities as they plan and execute the Conference:

By the end of the cohort, participants leave with real-world project experience, professional references and expanded networks, portfolio-ready work samples, increased career clarity and confidence and exposure to multiple career pathways within music and entertainment.

More In Music Conference

The More In Music Conference provides a day of education, connection and networking for aspiring professionals in the music industry as well as experience professionals and community members.

The Conference, which offers workshops, panel discussion, and keynotes featuring an influential and diverse group of leaders across the music industry and is powered and presented entirely by More In Music's Student Cohort and their team of industry-professional advisors.

The event provides students and Southern California community with exposure to careers in the music industry and an opportunity to learn from some of the most accomplished minds in the business, opening new access points and pathways to success in music.

Official Tax-Exempt Organization

Our nonprofit operates as a program under the fiscal sponsorship of Women's Nonprofit Alliance, an official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit parent organization, and our leadership adheres to their Statement of Faith. As an Sponsored Member of WomensNPA, we are able to accept tax-deductible donations. All online donations may appear on your bank statement as "Women's Nonprofit Alliance,” however funds are directly credited to our organization.

Through our partnership with the WomensNPA, we have been accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) which provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising and board governance, as well as GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency for our financial oversight.
