Help bring the magic of Second Chance Prom to life! Volunteers in this role will assist with transforming the venue into a beautiful, welcoming space for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Assist with unloading and organizing décor and supplies
Set up tables, chairs, and event signage
Help decorate with centerpieces, lighting, and themed accents
Follow direction from the event leads to ensure the space is set up according to plan
Tidy and prepare the venue to be guest-ready
Shift Details:
Timeframe: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Sky One Eleven, Mankato, MN
Physical Requirements: May include light lifting, bending, and moving items around the venue
Be the first friendly face guests see as they arrive at Second Chance Prom! Volunteers in this role will help welcome attendees and ensure a smooth check-in process.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests with a warm welcome as they arrive
Locate and confirm attendee names on the guest list
Distribute event materials as needed
Answer basic event questions and direct guests throughout the venue space
Provide a positive and professional first impression of the event
Shift Details:
Timeframe: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Location: Sky One Eleven, Mankato, MN
Skills Needed: Friendly and approachable, organized, comfortable interacting with guests
Help coordinate the magic of the Grand March by keeping participants organized and on schedule. Attendants ensure everything flows smoothly behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
Organize and line up Prom Royalty, Walkers, and animals in the correct order
Communicate timing and cues so participants know when to enter
Assist with transitions and problem-solve quickly if needed
Support Walkers and animals to reduce stress before walking
Shift Details:
Timeframe: 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Skills Needed: Organized, calm under pressure, good communicator
Be the go-to helpers for anything that comes up during Second Chance Prom. Volunteers in this role will assist with a variety of tasks, fill in where needed, and keep the event running smoothly behind the scenes.
Responsibilities:
Step in to support different areas (check-in, photo op, silent auction, décor adjustments, etc.) as needed
Monitor event flow and help address any guest questions or needs
Assist staff and event leads with unexpected tasks or last-minute adjustments
Be a flexible, dependable presence to ensure smooth operations throughout the night

Timeframe: 6:00 PM – 8:30PM
Location: Sky One Eleven, Mankato, MN
Skills Needed: Flexible, quick-thinking, approachable, comfortable taking direction
Help us wrap up a successful Second Chance Prom by assisting with event clean-up and packing. Volunteers in this role will make sure the venue is cleared, décor is safely stored, and everything is left in great condition.
Responsibilities:
Take down décor and signage
Pack up decorations, supplies, and event materials
Assist with moving items back into storage or vehicles
Ensure the venue is tidy and reset according to requirements
Follow direction from event leads for efficient clean-up
Shift Details:
Timeframe: Friday, October 3rd 8am to 9:30am
Location: Sky One Eleven, Mankato, MN
Physical Requirements: Light to moderate lifting, bending, and moving event supplies
